39 - Alta Support

Description & Requirements:

Come join us as Bravura grows our Operations Team to drive several exciting projects, underpinned by Sonata Alta, that delivers a digital-first operating model.

Based in Sydney or Melbourne, you will support the team by ensuring the Sonata Alta service is highly available, performs optimally, has reliability and up-time appropriate to our clients’ needs and delivers on our contractual service levels. You will be proactive, curious, with a continuous improvement mindset and automation focus.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will be:
  • Ensure business services and processes are proactively and appropriately observed so service continuity is achieved 
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, with a proactive of improving the whole lifecycle of reliability services and getting ahead of client needs
  • Support deployment, availability, reliability, performance, and customer escalation targets for these environments 
  • Create traceability of workflow transactions, alerting strategies & corresponding triggers 
  • Maintaining/Monitoring applications and infrastructure across multiple production and non-production environments
  • Providing support of applications to resolve issues by troubleshooting application and infra issues while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Actively work with development teams to diagnose application performance issues and identify areas for improvement
  • Take responsibility for a piece of work and see it through from specification into production (in collaboration with others)
  • Work closely with other teams to improve knowledge sharing and platform understanding
  • Document and provide feedback on application documentation and tickets
  • Incident management and response within a 24/7 environment and ensuring service level targets are met
  • What we’re looking for:
  • You will face exciting technical challenges as we continue to grow so having a solid understanding of the financial services industry and associated processes will be favorable. 

You will have:
  • Experience to support a cloud platform (AWS/Azure) along with previous comprehensive experience in application support to support non-cloud-based applications.
  • Sound understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles to manage a complex suite of environments and SRE tooling, to support environment management needs for new and existing platforms and leveraging SRE technology and tools to further automate current platforms and environment management activities.
  • Demonstrated skills with automation including scripting knowledge Shell / Bash
  • Solid understanding of SRE principles with focus on ensuring platform resiliency and observability 
  • Experience in Monitoring tools – AppDynamics 
  • Experience in troubleshooting applications in Java / REST API’s / JSON
  • Hands on understanding on Oracle or other Relational Database Technologies
  • Any experienced in Splunk, regular expressions, Grafana are bonus.
