Position Purpose
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for delivering large projects to our Sonata Wealth customers. This will involve managing the full end to end project lifecycle including managing customer relationships to deliver successful shared outcomes, providing leadership to the Bravura project teams, providing control, risk management, reporting and maintaining plans and tracking deliverables.
Main Activities
- Client Management: full responsibility for the relationship with senior members of change management teams within one or more of Bravura’s clients
- Planning Management: Ensure Bravura’s plan is achievable and fits in with the clients overall programme plan. Plans will involve the full end-to-end delivery lifecycle. Ensuring the budget, timescales and expected benefits are tracked and met. Planning activities will include all ongoing and future projects, product changes and use of Bravura’s services.
- Project Accountability: provides a focus of accountability to the client and Bravura for the delivery of client projects. This includes accountability for the quality delivery of projects against time, cost and expected benefits targets
- Contractual Accountability: ensuring that Bravura Solutions delivers against contracted commitments, and protecting Bravura by tracking that the client meets their commitments
- Project Delivery: establishing and managing effective multi workstream project operations to deliver quality outcomes
- Reporting: providing accurate and timely reporting, internally and externally, and ensuring that appropriate management information is available on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Agreeing with the clients management team the structure of the management reporting and communication processes across all levels of the project and client organisation. Ensuring Bravura meets its obligations to provide accurate information within the reporting structure.
- Client Programme: maintain awareness and understanding of the clients’ overall programme plan, to ensure its dependencies on Bravura’s plan are achievable and met by the client; escalate to the client and internally where issues are highlighted with the client’s plan
- Governance: Ensuring that Bravura Solutions’ processes and policies are adhered to with a continual focus on industry and organisation best practice
- Resource Management: defining and managing necessary project resources. Controlling project schedules to ensure that necessary modules and programs are completed according to the project plan.
- Financial Management: Preparing project budgets, attaining necessary approvals in a timely manner and monitoring and tracking project financials, analysing budget variances, and recommending appropriate action.

- Effective leadership, relationship, coordination, motivational, negotiation and dispute resolutions skills

- Financial management / reporting and analysis skills

- A strong track record of technology delivery success
- Ability to build, develop and maintain relationships with client counterparts
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, and PRINCE2) especially understanding the advantages and disadvantages of each, and how they can be brought together to provide the right hybrid model for a delivery if necessary.
- Knowledge of industry standard requirements definition, development and testing practices and standards
- Experience working with off-shore development teams, either in house or external

Qualifications and Experience
- 10+ years' experience as a project manager working within an IT and financial services-based function
- Experience in owning the delivery of large-scale packaged software implementations
- Experienced in consultancy based project delivery with a focus on client relationship management
- Domain knowledge of the wealth management or platform industry
- Experience of leading multiple projects across different locations
- Educated to degree level in a science, engineering or mathematical subject
