About The Role


This role will report into the Development Manager in the Workflow Centre of Excellence group that is responsible for delivering Business Process Management functionality to internal clients and external customers of Bravura. This role is responsible for designing, coding, unit & functional testing of Sonata Process models product to develop and maintain it based on client requirements, by following agile SDLC practice and by working closely with the Product Owner & Consultants of Client Services group.


Prior working experience with Bravura’s Sonata will be a huge advantage. Experience working with AI coding tools like Cursor, Github copilot, Cline will give you an edge over others.


What You’ll Do


Workflow Design & Development:


  • Design, develop, and maintain workflow solutions using Sonata Workflow (process models)
  • Integrate UI components (HTML/Angular) with backend services using REST/SOAP APIs (Sonata APIs).
  • Ensure solutions are modular, high-quality, and maintainable, with a focus on performance and scalability.
  • Build Proof of Concepts (PoCs), pilots, and prototypes to validate solutions and demonstrate capabilities.
  • Define and enforce workflow design standards, modelling guidelines, and governance practices.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to speed up development, debugging, code reviews, and testing—while applying sound judgment and team standards.


Quality Engineering & Testing:


  •  Develop and execute unit, integration, and functional test cases. Ensure adherence to coding standards and participate in peer reviews.


Documentation & Release Management:


  • Maintain documentation, follow standards, and suggest improvements. Manage builds, deployments, and assist in release planning.


Unleash your potential


To be successful in this role, your background and experience will include:


  • Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise BPM/workflow platform (e.g. Sonata, Camunda, Flowable, IBM BPM, jBPM, or equivalent).
  • Experience with workflow scripting and process modeling.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Strong hands-on SQL for writing and tuning queries.
  • Good understanding in Java or scripting languages like JavaScript.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of software engineering best practices.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Angular (preferred)
  • B.E./B-Tech/MCA/MBA with 6-10+ Years of relevant experience
  • Finance/Wealth Management experience will be an added advantage


Tools and Technologies


  • Workflow: Sonata, Camunda, Flowable, IBM BPM, jBPM or similar – Mandatory-any one
  • Languages: Java, JavaScript.
