About The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering projects to our NZ or AU customers. This will involve managing the full end to end project lifecycle including managing customer relationships to deliver successful shared outcomes, providing leadership to the Bravura project teams, providing control, risk management, commercial acumen and management, reporting, maintaining plans and tracking deliverables. You will participate in the development of best practices and toolsets, building external partnerships, pre-sales activities, and mentoring opportunities.

What You’ll Do

  • Client Programme and Accountability: Confirm Bravura’s plan is achievable and fits in with the client’s overall programme plan whilst ensuring Bravura’s contractual commitments are met.
  • Stakeholder Management: full responsibility for the relationship with senior members of change management teams within one or more of Bravura’s clients
  • Project Maintenance and Delivery: Maintenance of project plans and timely management of actual effort and remaining work. Establishing and managing effective multi workstream project operations to deliver quality outcomes. 
  • Matrix Management: Leading distributed team(s) of project employees operating on complex IT projects.
  • Project Definition: controlling the definition of project requirements and high-level solutions. Responsible for managing these into the development team and for user acceptance on delivery.
  • Reporting: Timely progress reporting to both clients and internal management.
  • Resource Management: Defining and managing necessary project resources. Controlling project schedules to ensure that necessary modules and programs are completed according to the project plan.
  • Budget and Financial Management: Establishment and maintenance of project budgets, creation, and management of statements of work, attaining necessary approvals in a timely manner and monitoring and tracking project financials and the realisation of defined project benefits. Reporting on project budget(s), analysing budget variances, and recommending appropriate action.

Unleash Your Potential

To be successful in this role, your background and experience will include: 

  • 5+ years' experience as a client facing project manager working within an IT and financial services-based function, with a track record of technology project delivery success.
  • Experience in the delivery of software implementations, ideally under an agile methodology
  • Experienced in consultancy-based project delivery with a focus on client relationship management.
  • Domain knowledge of the wealth management or platform industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding and application of Project Management methodologies (ideally PRINCE2 and/or Agile) and competencies including scope, cost, time, quality, HR, communications, risk, procurement, and integration.
  • Effective project management leadership, relationship, coordination, motivational, negotiation and dispute resolutions skills
  • Strong customer service ethos, a commitment to quality and the will to constantly drive improvements.
  • Financial management / reporting and analysis skills with strong commercial & contract management skills
  • Knowledge of industry standard requirements definition, development and testing practices and standards
  • Experience working with offshore development teams, either in house or external
  • Consultative and an effective influencer and proven ability to collaborate with clients. 
  • Ability to apply analytical skill and conceptual thinking to project related activities and work.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skills. 
  • Resilience including the ability to work effectively under time pressure.
  • Capable of working on-site at client offices if required.
