Description & Requirements:

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Payroll Administrator to join our Finance team on a fixed-term 6 month contract with the possibility to become permanent. 

You will be responsible for assisting in end-to-end monthly payroll for approximately 500 employees across Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. This role also includes supporting in the accurate maintenance of the payroll & HR system (Chris21) for the full employee lifecycle. 

Reporting to the Global Payroll Manager, while working closely alongside with the broader finance & HR team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Assisting with the processing of the monthly APAC and South Africa payroll
  • Supporting with new starter and termination activities within the system
  • Maintaining and reconciliation of employee leave entitlements as well as employee deductions including payments to external parties 
  • Handling employee payroll queries and requests such as novated leasing, superannuation, purchasing leave and devices
  • Maintaining and updating employee data in Chris21
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly reconciliations including payroll, superannuation, IRD returns and leave liability
  • Preparing payroll tax and workers compensation submissions. 

What you’ll need
  • Prior experience in Payroll is essential 
  • Knowledge of payroll software (Chris21) is preferred
  • Attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication 
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across all levels of the business
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
  • Understanding of payroll process and legislation
