The Role
The successful candidate would be required to work within a small team and would therefore be exposed to a broad range of systems. Over time, they would need to learn about the technical aspects of our software to enable them to remotely deploy and support within our client’s environments and within the Cloud. The candidate’s time would be split between external customer support and internal IT support, with an expectation to take on more Cloud support over time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigating, analysing and resolving queries raised by our clients in relation to our software
  • Performing upgrades/installations of our applications on remote client servers
  • Retrieving and delivering data from/to client servers
  • Liaising with our client’s IT teams
  • Ensuring that our procedures are always documented and adhered to
  • Testing the functionality of our applications to agreed standards
  • Communicating the status of tasks both internally and with clients
  • Maintaining client confidentiality by adhering to data protection policies.
  • Working to agreed timescales both with internal and external users.
  • Occasionally working outside of normal hours to ensure business continuity.

Core Skills Required
  • Microsoft Windows desktop administration (Windows 10/11) 
  • Microsoft Windows Server administration (2016 or later)
  • Networking protocol basics
  • Virtual environments
  • Remote Desktop Technologies (RDS and/or Citrix)
  • Producing technical documentation/instructions
  • Installing applications
  • Remotely supporting applications 

Secondary/Advantageous Skills
Microsoft SQL Server administration (restore/backup DB’s, security, installation, etc.)
T-SQL scripting

Recognised Industry certification (MCP, MCSE)
