Description & Requirements:

Position Overview 
Based in South Africa, and reporting to the Country Head - SA, the Head of Sales and Account Management is responsible for building and maintaining strong executive relationships with existing clients and achieving an agreed revenue or sales quota through developing processes and strategies that increase revenue from existing and new key accounts. 

This individual will act as a key liaison between clients and the business to ensure complete customer satisfaction is maintained. 

Main Activities 
  • Develop and maintain trusting relationships with external parties, including clients, potential clients, industry leaders and other relevant third parties 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams such as Support, Product, Consulting and Finance 
  • Develop region, industry and client strategies to maximize sales value, market share, client satisfaction and profitability 
  • Identifies new market propositions, actively works with the Propositions team to bring to market 
  • Review of processes to ensure continued efficiency 
  • Form long term business partnerships to leverage revenue from the relationship and promote the organisation as a quality supplier
  • Coordinate the preparation of sales proposals, tenders/bids, contracts and account management plans as required
  • Participate in sales promotions, campaigns, events and displays as needed
  • Provision of reporting and analysis to the Country Head and Executives
  • Update of client activity to share with the wider business 
  • Develop strong executive relationships with key clients to determine their present and future needs 
  • Propose suitable solutions, services and upgrades to maintain and grow revenue 
  • Implement a formal account plan process, structure and collateral to manage executive engagement, expectations and deliverables 
  • Manage all dispute/complaint escalations, including the engagement of key parties and communications (internally and externally) Identifying opportunities to increase revenue

Qualifications and Experience 
  • Degree qualified 
  • 5+ years of software sales and account management experience at a leadership level 
  • Experience within Financial Services or Information & Technology 
  • Experience with contract negotiations and renewals
