About The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director - Wealth & Advice (Australia) based out of our Sydney or Melbourne Office, the Director of Growth will be the public face of the Midwinter brand and responsible for building and closing new business opportunities across Australia and New Zealand.  Your focus will be on enterprise sales of Midwinter’s advice technology, including AdviceOS and Digital Advice.  This role is integral to Midwinter's growth strategy.  You will be a charismatic and energetic thought leader, championing the growth of digital advice and guidance as the future of simple advice. You will build trusted relationships with enterprise prospects, providing solutions for their needs, as well as monitoring market trends, and leveraging IFA networks and industry influencers. As a subject matter expert, you will anticipate and drive the trends influencing decision makers and work closely internally with Product, Delivery and Service teams to deliver exceptional outcomes. 

 What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute strategies to generate new sales opportunities and build executive level relationships, working closely with partners to align strategy and deal opportunities.
  • Lead the full sales lifecycle: prospecting, qualification, proposals, negotiation, and closing.
  • Identify prospect’s objectives, budget or commercial expectations are aligned to Midwinter’s pricing.
  • Represent Midwinter at industry forums, conferences, and events, championing digital advice innovation.
  • Manage pipeline reporting, sales reports and analysis to executives and implement appropriate reporting and CRM processes for activity and results. 
  • Ongoing assessment of the gaps in Midwinter’s propositions, including monitoring of competitors activity, analysing market trends and working with teams on strategies to address gaps. 
  • Develop content for white papers, blogs, and position papers for marketing/press. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key business leaders and cross functional teams within Midwinter and Bravura such as Marketing, Partnerships, Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Client Delivery, Service, Strategy and People & Culture to ensure market alignment, seamless delivery, and client satisfaction.

To be successful in this role, your background and experience will include:
  • Over 10 years experience in relevant software sales with a proven track record in business development or growth leadership roles, meeting sales targets, driving revenue growth and closing enterprise deals preferably within Financial Services. 
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Advice applications and associated technology is highly valued.
  • Consultative and strategic sales approach with strong communication, written and interpersonal skills, negotiation and presentation skills to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • An ability to understand the ever changing market as well as client demand and create compelling propositions that address the demand.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen and experience with enterprise contracting and commercial drivers.
  • Entrepreneurial with a collaborative, supportive and team based approach.
  • An executive presence, ability to represent Midwinter in various customer and partner interactions, events and conferences.
  • Experience in sales reporting, ability to use data and analysis to develop and drive strategies to achieve company and client goals
