We have an immediate requirement for a dedicated and talented SDET to join the team to add tangible value to projects we run at Delta Financial Systems, a Bravura Solutions subsidiary. The chosen applicant will operate within one of our agile teams and be responsible for testing activities for our state-of-the-art Azure cloud-based Platinum platform.
Team fit is crucial for success in this role. The position is based in central Birmingham and requires regular office visits.
Person Profile
• You are an experienced and quality-focused test engineer with a minimum of 5 years' experience, demonstrating a strong passion for software testing in all aspects of your work.
• Your excellent communication skills enable effective collaboration with colleagues at all levels of business and technical understanding.
• You thrive in both independent and team-based environments.
• Your strong analytical mind and problem-solving skills enable you to interpret requirements effectively and construct tests to identify any software issues.
• You operate to your own high standards and consistently deliver high-quality, reliable, and maintainable test solutions.
Core Skills Required
• Proven background in test automation implementing valuable intelligent tests using tools such as Selenium and Playwright.
• API testing experience using Postman, JavaScript, REST or similar.
• Practical experience with object-oriented programming in C#, focusing on writing efficient and maintainable code.
• Firsthand experience in building and maintaining .NET-based test automation frameworks, including the use of BDD tools like SpecFlow or similar.
• Practical knowledge of writing SQL queries and understanding relational databases.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Relevant testing certification like ISTQB or similar.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Secondary/Advantageous Skills
• Financial services experience
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience working in Agile teams, preferably following Scrum methodology.
• Proficiency with version control systems (e.g. Git).
• Experience with Test Driven Development.
